PROMA compact THC SD torch high control

Proma THC torch height adjustment. With the proma THC SD (step Dir PID generator) you can directly control a stepper motor (z axis) to automatically adjust the height of your torch.

The SD is a new generation height controller of the plasma torch and is based on the popular Compact THC 150 in which relay outputs were replaced by STEP DIR inputs / outputs.

These inputs/outputs generate corrective signals step/dir proportional to the slope of the material after the detection of a cutting arc so that the cutting quality is maintained at a high level.

If the THC is connected directly to the 'power' terminals, you must ensure that the connection is as short as possible to avoid disruptions.

You should also use cables with good insulation - matched to the maximum voltage of the plasma cutter.

Due to the very high voltage on the 'pins' it is advisable to connect the + plus and minus with separate wires.

Please note that the Proma SD directly controls the stepper motor.
