Description | In the reducing valve, heat is extracted from the carbon dioxide by expanding the carbon dioxide. This can cause ice to form on the pressure reducing valve. This ice formation usually occurs on the outside of the valve and usually has no influence on the operation of the reducing valve. Only in the case of very severe frost does the effectiveness of the reducing valve become less effective. To prevent the reducing valve from freezing, a heating device is placed between the cylinder and the reducing valve. This heating device runs on 230 volts and consumes 200 watts. The cord has a length of 1.5 meters. The heater inlet is 21.8R internal. The output has a 21.8R male thread with a flat seal (RU1). |

Remark | If the reducing valve is not used, it is wise to switch off the heating device. Apart from wasting energy, the heated carbon dioxide causes the seals of the pressure reducing valve (valve, diaphragm and "O" rings) to dry out, so that the pressure reducing valve requires maintenance sooner. If the power of this heating device is too high, we also have a carbon dioxide heating device 125 watts (917052). If desired, we will be happy to inform you about heating devices with even higher power. |
